Managing Director

Jirong Steinacker

My name is Jirong Steinacker, and I was born and raised in Shanghai, China.

My maiden name is Gu, which inspired the name of our company, Gu Connect.

For many years, I built a successful career in the marketing industry in Shanghai. After moving to Germany, I continued working in marketing for a well-known company, where I was able to contribute my professional experience. Once I started my family, I decided to focus on raising my children and supporting my family.

Five years ago, my life changed dramatically when I became seriously ill following a COVID-19 infection. For a long period, my health prevented me from leaving my home or participating in everyday life. It was a challenging experience that profoundly shaped my perspective.

Today, I am incredibly grateful to have recovered. Through determination, patience, and perseverance, I gradually found my way back to everyday life. This experience taught me the true value of support, guidance, and compassion—especially during difficult times.

I often think back to my own arrival in Germany. From personal experience, I understand the challenges of starting a new life in a foreign country—from language barriers and administrative procedures to building a completely new daily routine. I also understand the questions and concerns many people face when moving from China to Germany.

That is why I founded Gu Connect UG. My goal is to share my experience, knowledge, and network with international students, skilled professionals, and newcomers, helping them build a successful life in Germany. I want to provide guidance, practical support, and reassurance so that no one has to face these challenges alone.

Sometimes, meeting someone who has already walked the same path can make all the difference.
